“If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;” Colossians 1:23
The true test when you are in a trial is staying consistent in the principles of God. This is when you find out if you are strong or weak in some areas in your walk of faith. Many times when we find ourselves in challenging situations we ask what have we done wrong? This is a worthwhile question but you may find yourself without answers. Once your internal and external evaluation of your life has been completed the end result might be to “continue in the faith.” Continue in the truth that has already been established in you. This will help keep you grounded and settled in the faith. Trouble can come in our lives like a raging storm seeking to uproot our lives and carry us away from the stability of the gospel. There is a temptation to try something new when troubles hit our lives but continue. Don’t look to the left or the right but look to the heavens. God’s word and His power can keep and deliver you out of anything. Continue pressing toward God you will find solace in His presence. “If ye continue in the faith!”
