The purpose of this ministry is to share the Gospel in a personal and private setting through Bible Study, to reach out to men and women who do not have an opportunity to freely attend church services and church functions, and to lead men and women to Salvation in Jesus Christ, Rededication, and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

 

In order for an individual to join Prison ministry:

 

  • You must be a member of KCC for more than one year.
  • You must be interviewed by the Ministry Lead Servant of the Prison Ministry and fill out a ministry of helps guidelines form
  • You must fill out an application for the Pitt County Detention Center and have it endorsed by the Church.
  • You must attend one training session at the Pitt County Detention Center to be familiarized on the rules and regulations of the facility.
  • You must not have any felony convictions or serious misdemeanors in the last five years.
  • The ministry serves on the second and fourth Tuesday and Sunday of every month. The times are from seven o’clock p.m. to nine o clock p.m.
  • The ministry serves as an avenue for members who meet the criteria’s listed above to evangelize to those incarcerated.
  • The ministry meets on various days of the month to discuss topics for visits and post visit assessments.
